Jan was the dedicated wife of R.T. Abrahamson and co-founder of Abrahamson & Associates.

She was the executive administrator for the family owned and operated business for 35 years. A graduate of Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College. Jan was a Licensed Real Estate Agent from 1984 - 1991 while also performing her function at Abrahamson & Associates.

Jan will always be remembered as  the proud mother of George, Debbie, Melody, and Steven. She served on the board of Alice Landergin Elementary School, Crockett Jr. High, Bonham Jr. High, Tascosa High School, and Amarillo High School. She volunteered as home room mother with all four children alternately through the years and was very active in P.T.A.

Jan was a volunteer for many civic/community organizations including being a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 11 years and serving on the Girl Scout Board for two years.

Jan was a Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Board Member serving one year as President and two years as Publicity Chairman and Fund Raiser. She had served on the Board for the Y.W.C.O. as Vice President and Publicity Chairman. Jan was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as  a Sunday School Teacher, Senior High Sponsor, and Overall Chairman of Vacation Church School.

Jan was a member of the following professional organizations: Amarillo Art Alliance, Amarillo Art Museum, Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, Amarillo Club, the Better Business Bureau, and Center City of Amarillo. She served as President for two years on the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Auxiliary.

She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
